Ramada
Designed during the COVID-19 pandemic, the Ramada app gave hotel guests a fully contactless stay — from checking in and out of their room to ordering room service — all from their own phone, in line with quarantine protocols.
Creating a more seamless hotel experience with less friction.
The Ramada Hotel Application was designed to make the guest experience more convenient while reducing the need for direct interaction between hotel guests and staff. The concept was developed during the COVID-19 pandemic, when traditional hotel touchpoints became more challenging. The goal was to bring essential hotel services into one accessible mobile experience—from checking in and out to ordering in-room dining and discovering hotel facilities. The application needed to feel intuitive, welcoming, and easy to navigate while maintaining the familiarity and trust associated with the Ramada brand.
Mapping every guest touchpoint onto a single screen.
The experience was structured around the moments that matter most during a hotel stay. Instead of requiring guests to contact staff for routine requests, the application brings key services directly to their fingertips. The interface was designed with a clear visual hierarchy and straightforward navigation, allowing guests to quickly access in-room dining, explore hotel facilities, and manage their stay. The user flow was kept intentionally simple, with each interaction designed to minimize unnecessary steps and make information easy to find. The visual direction focused on creating a polished hospitality experience that felt modern without becoming overly complex. UI layouts, icons, imagery, and typography were developed together to create consistency across the application. The project was designed using Adobe XD, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
When you can't meet your guests in person, every screen has to do the work of a warm welcome.
A contactless stay that still felt like hospitality.
The final app let guests complete an entire hotel stay without unnecessary contact — checking in, ordering room service, and checking out on their own terms. It gave the hotel a practical way to meet quarantine safety requirements while keeping the experience simple and considerate for guests staying under difficult circumstances.
